California Coast Highway

What a morning.... the water pipe from the pump house to the house had a leak... the very day we were to leave for our trip. RAW evaluated the situation, asked if we should leave it and just go or fix it. I didn't get excited or fret and calmly said, if you left it, you would be thinking about it all through the trip and be no fun... so fix it and be done with it. So off he went to the hardware store for parts. Ingenious as he is, fixed the leak before 12noon and off we went towards the Pacific Ocean Highway.

Places we stopped....
Monday:
- Pigeon Lighthouse
- Watched Windsurfers
- Monterey  (dinner at Bubba Gumps)
- Quality Inn

Tuesday:
- Hearst Castle
- Elephant Seal Beach
- Pismo Beach : Seacove Lodge (my favorite place to stay... wish we stayed longer)

Wednesday:
- drove past Santa Monica pier... didn't even get to take a picture
- Newport Beach
- Dinner with William
- Quality Inn

Thursday:
- drove to the end of hwy 1
- picked up a frame for my sampler - raw picked it out
- Quality Inn

Friday : drove all the way home up 101 until San Jose, then up 680 to 80 all the way home.
